Rockin the Night Away!

After test driving many rockers, gliders and recliners Mark and I have finally found the perfect one.  I can't wait 6 more weeks for it to arrive.  I have a feeling many nights will be spent sleeping in this chair in the nursery.  Unfortunately I could not find it in the correct color but here it is in Red and I am posting a swatch of the one we actually bought below.

Baby Eaton will be rocking the night away in a chocolate swirl microfiber fabric.

I loved it in the store but it was a big investment.  As soon as we paid and walked out the door buyers remorse definately set in.  I am sure it will all be fine and I need to learn to trust my instincts.  Can't wait to get the room all together to show everyone pictures of the finished product.  Then you will be able to see how all of these pieces fit together that i have been jabering away about on the blog.

Art Cards

Love these but wish they were for the whole alphabet.  Not just six cards.  But they are cute!

Super cute but over priced for just one pair

I saw these little aggie mary janes etsy tonight and had to share because I thought that they were too cute.  How ever I would never buy just one little pair of shoes for $20.00  not to say that Mark would not buy them so that Baby Eaton would be prepared for Game Day.

Not baby related...but I have to have this!

Joseph Joseph Innovative Spaghetti Measure only $7.00.  I think this might become my staple gift to all brides to be.  How have I ever lived without this?

Fabrics for Baby Eaton!

After months of looking I am finally making progress.  I have bought a lamp, wall art, window coverings, and fabric for the nursery.  I am a little over ambitious at this time as I have HUGE plans to make lots of stuff for Baby Eaton's room (with the help of a great friend, Lise).  I searched the internet high and low looking for gender neutral decor and bedding and found nothing that I just loved.  It was either to boyish or girlish or just too boring.  So I bought these fabrics and I can't wait to get to sewing.  I realized that I was leaning a little towards boy colors so I have thrown in some fun coral colors to help balance it out.  I can't wait see how the finished product turns out.  I hope Baby Eaton likes it!

Mommy Stickers!

I am so excited!  Mommy Stickers are on the way.  I can't wait to use these for photo opportunities as my belly grows.

These are from Picky Sticky on Etsy.com.  She also makes the cutest little stickers for onesies for babies and once applied they look like part of the t-shirt. I can't wait to see how these turn out.  Who knows, if I love them then maybe Baby Eaton will be wearing them too once a month.

Fun Fabric for Baby Eaton's Room!

As I am starting my second trimester I am feeling a small wave of energy a huge wave of creativity.  I came across these fabrics and I love them.  Now if I can just find someone who has them both in stock.

Number Art

I just liked this.  I think it might be from potterybarn but the site I pulled it off of did not have a link.

More room ideas....

Here are a few more room ideas we came across.  Mark says since he will be the one doing the painting he gets final verdict on the design.  I am anxious to see what he comes up with.  Remember these are just for ideas not for color.

It's not a purse... it's a diaper bag

Loving this diaper bag probably because it does not look like diaper bag on the outside.

Let the painting begin!

This weekend Mark and I are going to finalize the paint scheme for the nursery so I have been searching to the internet for painting ideas.  I am a huge fan of stripes (not necessarily in these colors) but maybe one of these layouts or something similar will be how we polish off Baby Eaton's room.

I am so going to do this.....

This will probably be the only homemade item in the nursery and it is only because I cannot find anything I like but I am so thankful to the girl in the video for this easy and adjustable idea.

Owl Art

I came across these Owl prints on ETSY.com by Lee Arthaus and I love the idea of putting together a collection of them in our gender neutral nursery.  Here are a few of my favorites....

Turquoise & Red

I love these chairs and think this pattern with the turquoise and red would be perfect as a glider in a nursery.

Not crazy about the wall art or really much in this room but just wanted to throw it in here so you could see the turquoise and red together.

Fun rug but do you think it will make my baby dizzy?

The more I look for pictures that include the colors the more girly it looks but I do like the white accents with the red and white.

I love this white elephant.  I might need to get one for the babies room.

Perfect piece of wall art for this color pallet.
